Job description
Experteer Overview In this role, you will support enterprise network operations by addressing complex break-fix issues, performing approved changes, and upgrading network devices. You will work with the NOC and other staff to ensure continuous operations and contribute to technical resolution reports for outages. Youāll draft SOPs, participate in site surveys and deployments, and operate largely independently, including in remote locations. This is a security-focused, hands-on engineering role that shapes resilient, scalable networks for critical services. Compensation / Benefits * Coordinate with Network Operations Center and staff to resolve break-fix issues and implement changes * Perform VLAN, ACL, and port assignment changes; conduct IOS upgrades on routers/switches * Execute routing and switching hardware upgrades to maintain enterprise operations * Draft SOPs for network operations and contribute to incident reports for outages * Support site surveys, engineering data calls, and new/enhanced network deployments * Operate independently with limited supervision; in remote sites function as sole network engineer * Resolve network problems through detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation * Research errors and incidents to identify root causes and facilitate resolution * Route service requests to appropriate teams and perform incident analysis * Review and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) * Complete problem resolutions associated with incident tickets Tasks * TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph * Bachelorās degree with 5+ years of experience OR Masterās with 3+ years OR PhD with 1+ year, with additional 4 years in lieu of degree * Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, or 802.1x) * Experience with Cisco ISE * Knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration, fault isolation, and firmware upgrades * Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper network devices * Active IAT Level II Certification and Active CCNA Certification * Ability to work in remote locations independently and under pressure Key requirements *
