Job description

Escape Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an established and growing business that has built an excellent reputation for supporting customers across Scotland. Due to continued growth and investment, they are creating a brand-new Stock Controller / Systems Specialist position.

This is far more than a traditional stock control role. You will have the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up before playing a key role in the implementation of a brand-new ERP system. Once the system is live, you will take ownership of stock management, helping to improve processes, drive efficiencies and ensure customers continue to receive an outstanding service.

If you enjoy working with data, improving systems and making a real impact, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a genuinely supportive culture where your ideas will be valued.

The role:

  • Manage stock levels to ensure excellent product availability.
  • Analyse sales trends and place supplier orders.
  • Monitor supplier lead times and expedite deliveries where required.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Keep product information and price lists up to date.
  • Process stock receipts, supplier returns and credits.
  • Communicate stock availability and delivery updates to customers and colleagues.
  • Support the implementation of a new Sales & Operating system, including data migration, testing and user training.
  • Identify opportunities to improve stock processes and business efficiency.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Stock Control, Purchasing or Inventory Management.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach.
  • Comfortable analysing data and making commercial decisions.
  • Experience using Sales & Operating, ERP or business systems would be advantageous.
  • An interest in improving systems and processes.
  • A hands-on attitude with a willingness to support the wider team when needed. As a close-knit business, everyone gets involved

Benefits & conditions

  • Newly created role with genuine long-term career prospects.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in a major business systems implementation.
  • Join an established business with an excellent reputation across Scotland.
  • Supportive, friendly and collaborative team culture.
  • Competitive salary and Company performance bonus.
  • On-site position.

If you are looking for a role where you can combine stock control, systems and continuous improvement while making a real difference to the business, we would love to hear from you - please send Escape your CV today.
