Job description
Radiance, supporting major Air Force programs in Dayton OH, is searching for an experienced IT Asset Management Specialist to optimize critical IT resources at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The qualified candidate will be responsible for tracking, managing, and optimizing the NASIC/GSI organization’s technology hardware, software, and licenses throughout their lifecycle. The main goals of the role are to manage costs, maintain software compliance, improve IT security in a classified environment and ensure compliance with applicable information assurance and documentation requirements. Work hours are normal business hours.
Typical daily responsibilities include:
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee an asset from acquisition, through deployment, maintenance, and disposal at the end of its life.
- Inventory Tracking: Use automated discovery tools to maintain accurate records of every device and application used by the GSI organization.
- Software Management: Monitoring software license expirations, counts and locations to ensure the GSI organization does not overpay for unused software or face legal penalties during software audits.
- Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to repurpose existing assets, and reduce unnecessary IT spending.
- Security & Governance: Identify untracked hardware or software and ensure the organization meets data security and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management (SAM), or IT procurement
- TS/SCI Clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications include Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or ITIL Foundations.
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, discovery tools, and advanced Excel.
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Self-motivated
- Strong oral and written communication skills
