Job description

  • Lead and oversee software application packaging and deployment processes within a mature enterprise IT environment.
  • Manage a team of experienced and apprentice employees, ensuring work adheres to established standards, procedures, and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with application owners and stakeholders to analyze packaging requests, gather requirements, and develop software deployment packages using MECM (SCCM) and Intune.
  • Package applications for silent and attended installations in various formats, including MSI + MST, MSIX, and INTUNEWIN, and perform initial testing on Windows 10 and 11 platforms.
  • Maintain accurate records of software titles, including versions, lifecycle status, and vendor data, while participating in Agile Scrum meetings and contributing to resource planning.

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Software Packaging Manager - End User Computing Engineering to join their team. As a Software Packaging Manager - End User Computing Engineering, you will be part of the IT Engineering Department supporting the End User Computing team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization., * Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of experience in software packaging, management, and deployment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of Intune, MECM (SCCM), and experience with application packaging for Windows 11.
  • Proficiency with packaging tools such as InstallShield, Admin Studio, Win32 Content Prep Tool, and Winget.
  • Exceptional knowledge of PowerShell scripting and troubleshooting MECM and Intune clients, logs, and installation issues.
