Experteer Overview In this role you will serve as a principal systems engineer within the flight systems futures unit, shaping advanced payloads and hypersonic re-entry concepts. You will collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure technical, cost, and schedule targets are met. You will manage requirements, verification plans, and system models to support critical defense programs. Compensation / Benefits * Act as Responsible Engineer for hardware/software items from external vendors or internal work orders * Interpret data to determine applicability to program requirements * Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical challenges while protecting schedule, cost, and performance * Review/approve deliverables per subcontract data requirements list * Assist in managing subcontractor SOWs and performance; may travel to vendor locations * Maintain configuration control and ensure conformance to NG engineering standards (CMMI, MILSTD498) * Provide status reports and risk updates to program leadership * Participate in cross-functional design, verification reviews; support source selection * Document decisions, nonconformances, and corrective actions in RM/CM tools Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software, or related STEM field with 5 years of experience; or 3 years with MS; or 1 year with PhD * US Citizen with current/top secret security clearance, within scope and renewed/initiated within last 6 years * Ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances in a reasonable time * 3+ years full lifecycle systems engineering experience (concept to sustainment) * SysML MBSE tools experience (IBM Rhapsody, Cameo, SysML v2) and model development * 3+ years in writing/tracing complex requirements using DOORS, Jama, or Polarion, plus verification planning and ICD governance * Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation and leadership presentations Key requirements * Medical, Dental & Vision coverage * 401k * Educational Assistance * Life Insurance * Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions * Paid Time Off
