Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - 18518*

Experteer Overview In this role you will shape the architecture and verification of complex flight systems for cutting-edge defense programs. You will work within a cross-functional team to define system models, drive MBSE practices, and ensure DoD-standard verification. You’ll deliver interfaces, documentation, and lab-based demonstrations that validate requirements against mission needs. Compensation / Benefits * Define and evolve system architecture using MBSE tools (IBM Rhapsody, Cameo) * Allocate, trace, and verify requirements across the system hierarchy * Author requirement sets and produce ICDs for system interfaces * Create and coordinate customer deliverables (reports, trade studies, compliance matrices) * Participate in lab demonstrations and hardware-in-the-loop testing * Lead cross-functional design, verification reviews and ensure process compliance (CMMI, DO178C, MISRA, NQA1) * Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in requirements management and MBSE Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software, or related STEM field with 8 years experience; or 6 years with MS; or 4 years with PhD * US Citizenship with current/active Top Secret clearance within scope * Ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable time * 3+ years experience with full lifecycle work and SysML-based MBSE tools (IBM Rhapsody, Cameo, SysML v2) * 3+ years experience writing, managing, and tracing complex requirements using DOORS, Jama, or Polarion; experienced in defining verification plans and ICDs * Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior leadership and customers Key requirements * Medical, Dental & Vision coverage * 401k * Educational Assistance * Life Insurance * PTO * Health & Wellness Resources
