Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you design and oversee electrical/PLC control systems for airport baggage security projects, guiding electrical designs from concept to release. You will lead hardware selection, panel design, and documentation while mentoring others and ensuring code compliance. You may participate in testing and on-site commissioning at airports. This position sits within a world-class controls team focused on innovative baggage systems and scalable automation. Compensation / Benefits * Design electrical/PLC control systems for baggage security projects * Specify electrical devices, layout drawings, motor control panels, and wiring schematics * Coach engineers to meet project requirements and standards * Ensure designs meet NEC and NFPA codes * Manage release and change control of drawings and deliverables * Lead resource management and assignment of electrical design tasks * Oversee quality control and design checks * Select hardware to meet requirements and budget; identify alternatives * Participate in testing and commissioning at major airports * Support proposals and customer inquiries * Meet project timelines and budgets Tasks * Four (4) years in industrial automation controls design and electrical panel hardware design and commissioning * Familiar with NEC standards/regulations * Experience with motor drive and controller design * Experience with cable size selection, circuit protection design, voltage drop calculations * AutoCAD experience * Experience with material handling equipment (preferred) * BSEE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent * Strong time management, problem solving, and communication skills * Willingness to travel for commissioning and site tasks Key requirements * medical, vision, and dental insurance * paid vacation * paid sick time * paid holidays * 401K * Flexible Spending Programs
