Senior Fullstack AI Engineer (React, Java)

Experteer Overview In this role, you will build Java backend services powering TeamViewer Tia for end users and integrate AI-driven capabilities with reliable, scalable systems. You will shape architecture where AI behavior meets business logic, ensure safety and security, and mentor peers in AI-native engineering. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver performant, trustworthy AI-assisted experiences in production. This is a hands-on position with impact on how users interact with AI at work. Compensation / Benefits * Build Java backend services powering TeamViewer Tia for end users, including feature APIs and platform integrations * Design components that combine model-driven behavior with deterministic business logic * Own architecture decisions, code quality, security, and maintainability when using AI coding agents * Develop automated tests and evaluation coverage to safely merge generated changes * Optimize backend for conversational/agentic product needs (latency, cost, caching, streaming, batching) * Maintain shared context assets (agent instructions, tool definitions, prompts, domain docs) * Mentor engineers on agent-assisted development and raise team standards for safe AI-native engineering Tasks * 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise * Experience designing and building distributed, scalable backend systems with clean code and OO design * Hands-on experience integrating model-based or agentic capabilities into backend services (streaming, tool calling, structured outputs) * Regular use of AI coding agents with focus on correctness, security, and maintainability * Ability to design automated testing strategies to validate high volumes of generated code and prevent regressions * Solid understanding of AI failure modes (hallucinations, context degradation, prompt injection, non-determinism, silent regressions) and mitigation approaches * Structured/analytical working style, excellent communication, fluency in English, collaborative across EMEA Key requirements * Competitive compensation and bonuses * Flexible PTO * 401(k) with employer matching * Comprehensive health insurance * Parental leave (up to 12 weeks) * Teambuilding events and All Hands meetings
