Job description

Experteer Overview As Lead, you will steer an AI-enabled engineering squad in Austin to deliver on components aligned with the EMEA anchor team. You’ll define the AI-native operating model, guide agent-driven development, and ensure high-quality, secure releases. You’ll coach engineers to shift from coding to directing and reviewing agent-generated work, while aligning cross-site priorities. This role shapes a growing AI-native engineering culture with real impact. Compensation / Benefits * Lead an agile team of six to eight senior engineers in Austin with delivery accountability to the EMEA anchor team * Define and maintain the AI-native operating model (agent use, review standards, delegation boundaries, shared context) * Direct AI agents on real repository work and calibrate agent performance * Define automated gates for tests, evaluations, security scanning, dependency policy, and release readiness * Coach engineers through the shift from coding to directing, reviewing, and verifying agent-generated work * Run agile execution with informed estimates, scoping, planning artifacts, and delivery commitments * Represent the Austin technical position in cross-site decisions and coordinate with EMEA counterparts across time zones * Grow the team through selective hiring, onboarding, and maintaining a high hiring bar Tasks * 8+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on tech stack expertise * Proven leadership or technical mentoring in agile environments * Experience using AI coding agents in production software development * Ability to define and implement quality and security gates (automated testing, static analysis, security scanning, dependency management) * Critical mindset for reviewing agent-generated output (correctness, security, maintainability) * Strong understanding of clean code, modern architecture, distributed systems, and security/networking considerations for TeamViewer products * Working knowledge of agentic development environments, MCP or comparable tool protocols, repository instructions, and sub-agent architectures * Deep understanding of AI failure modes (hallucinations, context degradation, prompt injection, non-determinism) and mitigation strategies * Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across EMEA * Fluency in English; German is a plus Key requirements * Competitive compensation and bonuses * Flexible PTO and paid holidays * 401(k) with employer matching * Comprehensive health insurance including 100% employer-paid medical * Parental leave up to 12 weeks * Life insurance and disability coverage
