Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you lead an AI-native engineering squad in Austin, shaping how agents are used in production and ensuring high-quality, secure software delivery. You work across time zones with the EMEA anchor team to align strategy, governance, and delivery. You stay hands-on by guiding agent-enabled development and by setting clear quality gates. You coach engineers from coding to directing and validating agent-generated work, driving an impactful AI-driven engineering culture. Compensation / Benefits * Lead an agile team of six to eight senior engineers and own delivery accountability for components and features with the EMEA anchor team * Define and maintain the AI-native operating model, including agent usage, review standards, delegation boundaries, and shared context assets * Direct AI agents on real repository work and calibrate agent-assisted engineering practices * Establish automated gates for tests, evaluations, security scanning, dependency policy, and release readiness * Coach engineers on shifting from writing code to directing, reviewing, and verifying agent-generated work * Manage agile execution with informed estimates, scoping, planning artifacts, and delivery commitments * Represent Austin technical position in cross-site decisions and align with EMEA partners across time zones * Grow the team through targeted hiring, onboarding, and maintaining a high hiring bar Tasks * 8+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on expertise in at least one tech stack * Proven leadership or technical mentoring experience within agile environments * Practical experience with AI coding agents in production software development and ability to articulate delegation, review, issues, and resolutions * Ability to define and implement quality and security gates for code contributions (automated testing, evaluations, static analysis, security scanning, dependency management) * Critical approach to reviewing agent-generated output with focus on correctness, security, maintainability, and overall quality * Strong understanding of clean code, modern software architecture, distributed systems, and security/network considerations for TeamViewer products * Working knowledge of agentic development environments, MCP or comparable tool protocols, repository-level instructions, and sub-agent architectures * Deep understanding of AI failure modes (hallucinations, context degradation, prompt injection, non-determinism, silent regressions) and mitigation strategies * Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders in EMEA; fluent in English; German a plus Key requirements * Competitive compensation and bonuses * Flexible PTO and paid holidays * 401(k) with employer matching * Health insurance package with 100% employer-paid medical coverage * Up to 12 weeks of Parental Leave * 100% employer-paid Life Insurance and Disability
