Job description

Experteer Overview Join Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems as a Systems Test Engineer - Hardware 2/3 in San Diego. You will create and release 3D CAD models and drawings for ground equipment, cables, and racks using CATIA V5 and Teamcenter PLM. You’ll support hardware integration, audits, and production activities while coordinating with maintenance, design engineering, and test teams. This role offers hands-on hardware work, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to influence hardware design and test outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Generate 3D CAD models of ground equipment and cable routing * Create 3D COTS WRA assemblies, cable drawings, and rack assemblies * CAD software: CATIA V5 for modeling and drafting * Release Hardware, Interconnect and Schematic drawing packages; process via Teamcenter PLM * Provide technical support for Change Requests through program review boards * Support audits of engineering docs and system configurations * Assist production and development activities with hardware/software integration * Support hardware development in Triton labs * Develop hardware design recommendations for IFC4 builds * Investigate integration findings, perform audits, hardware installation and failure analysis Tasks * Bachelor of Science in STEM with 2 years of related experience or Master’s with 0 years for Level 2; Level 3 requires additional years or a Ph.D with experience * Ability to obtain and maintain US Government clearance and SAP; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance * Experience generating 3D CAD models for ground support equipment, cable routing, and rack assemblies * Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and drafting * Experience creating COTS WRA assemblies, cable drawings, and rack drawings * Ability to work odd shifts including nights and weekends Key requirements * flexible work arrangements * 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off * learning opportunities * friendly team environment * health insurance * life and disability insurance
