Job description

Experteer Overview You will drive data-driven insights as part of Walmart’s personalization marketing data science team. You will source data, build and validate predictive models, and deploy scalable analytics to optimize marketing effectiveness. You’ll translate business needs into data strategies and collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing colleagues to influence decisions. This role blends statistics, programming, and data engineering to solve real-world retail and marketing problems at scale. A strong impact comes from delivering measurable improvements in acquisition, churn, and channel optimization. Compensation / Benefits * Identify and source relevant data for marketing science initiatives * Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models * Design and run A/B and multivariate experiments to evaluate strategies * Collaborate with engineering to define interfaces and resolve dependencies * Build scalable, reliable data systems following best practices * Communicate insights to cross-functional stakeholders Tasks * 5+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist, MLE, or similar * Strong statistical background with experimental design and analysis * Proficiency in SQL, Hive, Python, and Tableau for data manipulation, analysis, modeling, and visualization * Experience with API design in Python * Advanced degree in relevant field (computer science, statistics, data science, etc.) or equivalent experience * Preferred: marketing science and personalization experience, open-source frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) Key requirements * 401(k) match * stock purchase plan * paid maternity and parental leave * PTO and paid time off * health plans (medical, vision, dental) * life insurance
