Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform

Experteer Overview In this role you drive the security platform roadmap and oversee architecture for network security within KPMG’s Digital Nexus team. You collaborate cross-functionally to align security technologies (Zscaler, GCP, Palo Alto) with the broader tech ecosystem, delivering secure, scalable solutions. You’ll provide expert guidance, support operations, and lead high-impact improvements that enable trusted client delivery. This is a hands-on role at scale, shaping how we protect digital assets while enabling innovation. Compensation / Benefits * Contribute to technology architecture roadmaps and maintain existing plans; plan improvements in line with industry standards and ensure integration of Zscaler, GCP, and Palo Alto with infrastructure * Maintain deep knowledge of industry directions; deliver roadmap items on schedule with high quality * Provide guidance to carry out plans and procedures; ensure product development process adherence, performance and budget targets; offer last-tier support including root cause and preventative analyses * Design system configurations and enforce standards; set up network environments and direct system installation * Offer last-tier operational support and mentor Network team members; provide training and guidance * Uphold integrity and professional standards to sustain a respectful work environment Tasks * 5+ years of experience with Web proxy products (ZScaler, Palo Alto Prisma, etc.) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP) * Deep expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (physical Strata and VM-Series), Panorama, and Prisma Access/SaaS security * Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma/GED required * Hands-on experience in GCP engineering (VPC design, Cloud Armor) and integrating security appliances in cloud-native environments * Proven experience with Zscaler platforms (ZIA, ZPA) design, implementation, management * Strong background in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) * Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams * Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * medical and dental plans * vision coverage * disability and life insurance * 401(k) plans * well-being benefits
