Senior Microsoft Forward Deployed Engineer - GPS

Experteer Overview In this role you will embed with clients to translate GenAI opportunities into practical AI-enabled solutions. You work within Deloitte’s GPS and Engineering as a Service context to deliver high-impact GenAI projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. You will prototype, deploy, and operate AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes from day one, while mentoring others and contributing reusable assets. This is a fast-paced, client-facing role that blends engineering excellence with strategic delivery to accelerate transformation. Compensation / Benefits * Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions * Partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery * Lead working sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes * Prototype and deliver working AI solutions using industry expertise and emerging capabilities * Contribute independently within an FDE pod while mentoring newer team members * Build AI-enabled solutions, agentic platforms, and workflows across enterprise AI platforms * Develop scalable AI engineering patterns and human-in-the-loop controls * Apply architecture decisions balancing quality, safety, latency, cost, and model risk * Deliver production-quality code with testing, CI/CD, logging, versioning, and documentation * Design extensible functionality, support sprint sizing, and align with senior team members * Contribute reusable assets including code, prompt libraries, runbooks, and reference implementations Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field * 7+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, or analytics engineering * 1+ years hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments * 1+ years experience with Microsoft technologies (Python and TypeScript or C#, Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search with RAG) * 1+ years experience leading project workstreams/engagements and translating business problems into AI solutions * 1+ years experience building reliable, maintainable, and well-documented code * Ability to travel ~50% * Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; ability to obtain US government security clearance Key requirements *
