Cyber Data Protection/PKI Specialist Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In thisSenior Consultant role, you help clients protect sensitive data through robust encryption, PKI management, and data protection strategies. You’ll design and operate encryption programs across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments and shepherd certificate lifecycle programs. You’ll lead engagements, guide delivery teams, and ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes while staying ahead of emerging cryptography trends. This role combines technical mastery with client advisory to advance secure data practices. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection, encryption requirements, and secure key management * Design, implement and operate encryption and PKI solutions across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments * Develop requirements, evaluate vendors, and architect data protection solutions * Lead client engagements: drive execution, communicate with clients and leadership, ensure quality deliverables * Track project timelines and manage budget adherence * Stay current on emerging encryption technologies (e.g., post-quantum cryptography, confidential computing) and industry trends * Proactively evaluate and recommend new tools to enhance data security * Support strategy, architecture, and roadmapping workstreams across engagements Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field * 5+ years in data protection and information security (data discovery, classification, DLP, cloud security, encryption, CLM, etc.) * 5+ years PKI concepts: certificates, CAs, RA, CSR, OCSP, CRL, HSM, key management, trust chains * 2+ years implementing encryption technologies (DB/file PKI, TLS, CLM) and cloud encryption concepts (BYOK) * 2+ years developing data protection strategies, roadmaps, and frameworks * 2+ years hands-on experience with data protection technologies and CLM platforms (AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert or similar) * 2+ years with TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing, and NIST practices * 2+ years certificate discovery, inventory, automation, renewal, and compliance monitoring * 2+ years supporting strategy, architecture, and implementation workstreams * 2+ years understanding integrations with F5, load balancers, WAFs, Kubernetes, API gateways, and cloud platforms * 2+ years client-facing skills: requirements gathering, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, executive communication * 2+ years leading small teams/workstreams and producing client-ready deliverables * Ability to travel 25-50% * Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
