Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role, you will guide clients through Microsoft Purview-based data governance and compliance initiatives, shaping how organizations classify, protect, and manage data. You’ll work within Deloitte’s Cyber team to design and deploy Purview solutions across large-scale environments and support ongoing optimization. You will engage with clients on assessment, design, and implementation, translating complex requirements into actionable governance programs. This position offers direct client impact, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to advance security and regulatory compliance at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments; recommend Purview capabilities (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance * Perform health checks, discovery and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy configuration) * Support POC, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and adjacent Microsoft security tools * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements * Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment * Build and sustain professional client relationships; communicate effectively * Deliver clear guidance and maintain quality in work products Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture, or design for Microsoft Purview or related technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Microsoft Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years experience designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, IT, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% as required Key requirements *
