Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you guide clients through Microsoft Purview-driven data governance and compliance transformations. You will design and implement Purview solutions, lead technical health checks, and support deployment as part of Deloitte’s Cyber team. You work directly with clients on large-scale initiatives to strengthen data governance, protect sensitive information, and maintain regulatory compliance. You will collaborate cross-functionally to drive secure, compliant operations and reduce risk, contributing to Deloitte’s mission of trusted digital excellence. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and recommend Purview capabilities (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy configuration) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security/compliance tech * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, and operating model improvements to strengthen security posture Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture/design for Microsoft Purview or related technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Microsoft Purview (data classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls in Microsoft environments (including app integrations) * Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
