Cyber Data Protection/PKI Specialist Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this Senior Consultant role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on data protection, encryption, and PKI to help clients manage data risks across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You’ll design, implement, and operate encryption and certificate management solutions while guiding clients through governance, architecture, and roadmaps. You will stay ahead of trends in cryptography and contribute to secure, scalable data protection programs. This is a client-facing role that drives measurable security outcomes within a leading cyber strategy team. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as an SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Design, implement, and operate encryption strategies and PKI systems across environments * Monitor and maintain certificate infrastructures to prevent downtime and breaches * Lead delivery efforts, track timelines, and communicate progress to clients and leadership * Stay updated on emerging encryption technologies and industry trends * Evaluate and recommend new tools to enhance data security * Support strategy, architecture, and implementation workstreams * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, client-ready deliverables Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in relevant field * 5+ years in data protection and information security * 2+ years PKI concepts and certificate lifecycle management * 2+ years with encryption technologies and cloud encryption concepts * 2+ years CLM platforms (e.g., AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert) * 2+ years TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing, and NIST-aligned practices * 2+ years certificate discovery, automation, renewal, compliance monitoring * 2+ years integrating with F5, load balancers, WAFs, Kubernetes, API gateways, cloud platforms * 2+ years client-facing skills and leading small teams * Ability to travel 25-50% Key requirements *
