Job description

Experteer Overview In this role, you will develop and own the flight software that controls our spacecraft, buses, and reentry capsule. You will work on embedded, bare metal, RTOS, or Linux-based systems to ensure mission success and reliability. Collaborate across teams to translate requirements into robust software and rigorous tests. You’ll operate at the intersection of software engineering and space systems, shaping how our vehicles behave in orbit. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role at a fast-growing space company. Compensation / Benefits * Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellites, and reentry capsules across the mission lifecycle * Write and maintain C++ software for embedded processors in bare metal, RTOS, or Linux environments * Own end-to-end software development from design through testing and integration * Perform requirements capture and design trades for open-ended problems * Ensure system quality via verification and validation techniques (V&V) * Collaborate effectively and solve problems in a cross-functional team Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering or equivalent technical experience in safety critical software * 5+ years developing spacecraft or other safety-critical software * Proficiency in C++ with solid language fundamentals Key requirements * 100% company-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance for employees and dependents * Flexible PTO + 12 paid holidays * Parental leave (12 weeks) * Equity incentive in a fully funded space startup * 401(k) with 6% employer match * Relocation support
