Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will develop reliable flight software for the spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule to enable orbit operations. You’ll own the full software lifecycle from design to test and flight support, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure mission success. The position focuses on safety-critical, embedded software controlling complex space systems, offering the chance to shape autonomous spaceflight capabilities. You will contribute to building a bustling in-space ecosystem aligned with Varda’s mission to expand humankind’s economic frontier. Compensation / Benefits * Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule across all mission phases * Write structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux-based software for embedded processors in C++ * Own all aspects of software development including design, testing, and integration * Scope projects with requirements capture and design trades for open-ended problems * Ensure quality and performance through verification and validation techniques * Collaborate with teammates through effective communication and problem solving Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in safety-critical software * 5+ years of experience in safety-critical spacecraft software * Proficiency in C++ and solid understanding of language concepts Key requirements * Health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents * Flexible PTO + 12 holidays * Equity incentive with substantial upside * 401(k) with 6% employer match * Relocation assistance * Gym/wellness reimbursement
