Experteer Overview In this role you will help shape how our spacecraft behave in orbit by developing reliable flight software for the spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule. You will own full software development lifecycle-from design to testing and flight operations support-in a high-stakes, safety-critical environment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex, open-ended problems and ensure system quality through stringent V&V. This role sits at the core of Varda’s mission to expand the orbital economy and deliver transformative space infrastructure. Compensation / Benefits * Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule across the mission lifecycle * Write structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux-based software for embedded processors in C++ * Own all aspects of software development-from design to testing and integration * Scope projects with requirements capture and design trades for open-ended problems * Ensure system quality and performance via software test, verification, and validation * Collaborate effectively with team members to communicate and solve problems in a cross-functional environment Tasks * Bachelor in computer science, math, physics, engineering or equivalent technical experience in safety critical software * 5+ years of experience in development of spacecraft or similar safety critical software * Experience with C++ and strong understanding of language concepts Key requirements * Flexible PTO and 12 paid holidays * 100% company-paid Medical, Dental, Vision for employees and dependents * 401(k) with 6% employer match * Stock options through Equity Incentive Plan * Relocation support * Wellness reimbursement and One Medical memberships
