Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions to strengthen data governance and regulatory compliance for client organizations. You work within Deloitte’s Cyber team on large-scale transformation projects, from assessment to optimization, partnering with clients to improve security posture. You will lead technical health checks, deployments, and integration with adjacent Microsoft security technologies while advising on governance strategies. This role combines hands-on implementation with client advisory work to reduce risk and enable compliant, data-driven operations. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and develop Microsoft Purview recommendations (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments, including audit and policy reviews * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security tools * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture/design for Purview or Microsoft data governance * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing/implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% Key requirements *
