Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role, you will help clients implement and optimize Microsoft Purview to strengthen data governance and regulatory compliance. You’ll work on large-scale transformation projects across assessment, design, and deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant data environments. You will shape governance strategies, perform health checks, and guide clients through POC to post-implementation activities. This position offers meaningful impact through enabling resilient data operations at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and propose Purview-driven improvements (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, and governance across enterprise environments * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments, including audit and policy configuration reviews * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security tools * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model enhancements to reduce risk and strengthen security posture Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, solution architecture/design for Microsoft Purview or data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls in Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * reasonable accommodations * travel flexibility up to 50%
