Cyber Data Protection/PKI Manager

Experteer Overview In this Manager role, you guide strategic, data-protection focused initiatives within Deloitte’s Cyber Strategy & Transformation team. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients on encryption, PKI, and data protection across cloud and on-prem environments, shaping large-scale security programs. You’ll design, implement, and govern solutions to reduce data risk while maintaining project timing and budget. The position offers leadership across delivery teams and close collaboration with clients and Deloitte leadership, contributing to a resilient cybersecurity posture. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Advise on encryption, decryption, secure key management, and PKI strategies across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments * Design, implement, and operate data protection solutions (certificate lifecycle management, monitoring) * Drive day-to-day engagement execution, communicate updates to clients and leadership, track timelines * Stay current on encryption technologies and industry trends, assess and recommend tools * Lead technical workstreams and coordinate architects, engineers, and offshore/onshore teams * Translate business and security requirements into architecture blueprints and implementation plans * Support governance, risk management, and delivery quality in enterprise security transformations * Travel 25-50% as needed to serve clients Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields * 7+ years in data protection and information security domains (including data discovery/classification, access governance, encryption, cloud security) * 7+ years PKI expertise (architecture and enterprise trust models) * 5+ years leading certificate lifecycle management using platforms like AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert * Advanced cryptography, certificate lifecycle, key management, HSM integration, and policy enforcement * Hands-on certificate automation across load balancers, WAFs, APIs, Kubernetes, cloud, and servers * Experience leading discovery, remediation, renewal automation, and compliance monitoring * Strong client leadership, workshop facilitation, and roadmap alignment * Ability to lead technical teams and manage dependencies and governance * Willingness to travel as required * Strong mentoring capability * Ability to translate requirements into architecture and implementation plans Key requirements *
