Job description
Experteer Overview As a Data Engineer on Deloitte’s Cyber team, you build governed data foundations for cyber risk, compliance evidence, and AI-enabled workflows. You will design production-grade pipelines and data models to support risk reporting, controls monitoring, and self-service analytics. The role blends data engineering with governance and compliance expectations in regulated environments. You will join a team focused on secure, auditable data platforms and agentic AI capabilities that enhance cyber operations. Compensation / Benefits * Build scalable batch and stream processing pipelines ingesting security telemetry and compliance artifacts into governed data stores * Design data models for risk and controls domains, including indicators, issues, risk acceptance, audit evidence, and policy exceptions * Implement data quality, lineage, metadata, and access controls to support auditability and repeatable evidence generation * Develop AI-enabled capabilities to accelerate governance, risk, and compliance and cyber operations via agentic patterns and retrieval-augmented generation * Engineer integrations between data platforms, governance workflows, and enterprise systems with observability and runbooks for production support * Partner with Cyber, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal stakeholders to translate requirements into implementable controls and guardrails Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience * 4+ years of experience in data engineering and software development using Python and SQL * Experience building production data pipelines and data models for batch or stream processing with cloud, containers, IaC, APIs, and secrets management * Experience implementing data governance controls including data classification, privacy handling, least-privilege access, encryption, retention, audit logging, and lineage/metadata * Experience supporting GRC workflows and large language model-enabled applications using retrieval-augmented generation and related techniques * Ability to travel 0-25%; immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
