Requirements

  • You are an analytical and quality-oriented engineer who takes ownership, communicates clearly and enjoys working across disciplines and locations
  • In addition, you bring: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Advanced SQL skills, including analytical data modelling, data quality and performance assurance
  • Hands-on experience with dbt or comparable transformation and testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of Python or a comparable data engineering language
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews and Git
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools, including agentic development approaches, is an advantage
  • Understanding of monitoring and observability, security, access management and compliance fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage

Your Duties:

  • Design and implement transformations from source-aligned data to modelled, analytics-ready data products
  • Build, test, document, version and maintain analytical datasets using dbt or comparable technologies
  • Design, deploy and maintain reliable data-product pipelines, including monitoring, freshness SLAs, alerting and incident handling
  • Take ownership of schema design, data quality, performance optimisation and code quality
  • Ensure secure and compliant data handling and support access control, audit and recovery requirements
  • Apply engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews and version control
  • Collaborate with domain teams, designers, architects, data consumers, and the CDP Platform and Enabling Team
  • Enable self-service analytics and cross-domain reuse through high-quality, well-documented data products
