Optometry Technician - Clinical & Front Desk

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Clinical Care Technician to join our eye care team. This role combines both clinical and front desk responsibilities, requiring cross-training to support patient care and office operations. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office., * Prepare patients for eye exams, including obtaining medical histories and chief complaints

• Perform preliminary testing (e.g., Visual field, OCT, Optos, IOP)
• Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and basic eye care instructions
• Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures to create a welcoming atmosphere
• Manage patient appointments, confirmations, and rescheduling to optimize clinic flow
• Answer patient inquiries via phone, text or in person with clear, friendly communication
• Collaborate with the doctor and team to ensure patients’ needs are addressed promptly and efficiently

• Prior experience in healthcare, customer service, or optometry preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
• Willingness to be cross-trained in both clinical and front desk duties

4.5 days per week and 1 Saturday per month (half day)

Monday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Tuesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Wednesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, * 401(k)
