Job description

Trace Systems is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to provide full-spectrum development and implementation support for EACN and the 89th Communications Squadron. The developer will translate approved business processes into secure workflows, wireframes, dashboards, modules, and user experiences supporting operational and IT service-management needs. The project associated with this position is currently in the proposal stage.

  • Develop, configure, test, implement, and sustain ServiceNow applications and business workflows supporting EACN and 89 CS requirements.
  • Partner with HAF/A1 sprint and DevOps teams and Government stakeholders to translate approved processes into workflows and wireframes.
  • Develop tailorable dashboards, repeatable processes, reports, forms, and user experiences that are fit for mission needs.
  • Implement and enhance IT Service Management, IT Business Management, and IT Asset Management modules and associated business processes.
  • Support requirements analysis, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, documentation, and release activities.
  • Apply development standards, access controls, testing practices, and configuration management within the Government ServiceNow environment.
  • Troubleshoot defects, support integrations, and coordinate production changes with stakeholders and operational support teams.

Requirements

  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Top Secret clearance (minimum); higher-level eligibility may be required based on assigned access.
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must meet the applicable DoD 8140 qualification requirements for the assigned work role. DoD 8140 Work Role(s): 632 Systems Developer, Proficiency Level: Intermediate; and may qualify through education, military training, certifications, or a combination thereof.
  • Qualifying credentials include a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity or Data Science or Information Systems or Information Technology or Software Engineering or completion of relevant military training.
  • Qualifying certifications may include CSSLP, GCLD, GSEC or other DoD 8140-approved certifications. Higher proficiency-level or equivalent DoD 8140-approved certifications applicable to the assigned work role may also be accepted.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to work in a secure DoD environment and comply with applicable Air Force, installation, and program security requirements.
  • 5+ years of application development experience, including 3+ years developing or administering ServiceNow solutions.
  • Current ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification, or ability to obtain it within six months of employment.
  • Experience developing workflows, dashboards, forms, reports, business rules, and role-based user experiences.
  • Working knowledge of ITSM, ITBM, and ITAM modules and Agile/DevOps development practices.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing ServiceNow solutions for DoD or Air Force customers.
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications, experience with platform integrations, JavaScript, REST APIs, or automated testing.
  • Prior military service or experience supporting Department of Defense or U.S. Air Force customers.
  • Experience supporting mission-essential communications in distributed, multi-site environments.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred.
