Job description

  • Conduct quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF, sanitation, and food safety regulations
  • Perform routine quality checks, product sampling, and documentation throughout production and warehouse operations
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming products or materials and assist with corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate QA records, logs, inspection reports, and product hold/release documentation
  • Conduct warehouse and production floor audits to ensure food safety and quality procedures are being followed
  • Support internal audits, customer audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure employees are following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Review product labeling, packaging, coding, and storage practices for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify quality and documentation accuracy
  • Communicate quality concerns effectively with Production, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, and Management teams
  • Monitor damaged, expired, or returned products and ensure proper documentation and disposition procedures are followed
  • Perform trailer inspections and verify cleanliness and food safety compliance prior to loading/unloading
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely when necessary

Requirements

Do you have experience in Quality control within food and beverage industry?, We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety compliance, and adherence to company and regulatory standards throughout production and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong QA experience within the food industry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain the highest quality standards. Shipping and receiving support will be included as part of the role; however, the primary focus will be on quality assurance and food safety compliance., * Minimum 2-3 years of Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment required

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF, and food safety regulations
  • Experience conducting QA inspections, audits, and documentation within manufacturing operations
  • Forklift certification required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify issues proactively and implement corrective actions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements & Work Environment

  • Must be Bilingual ( English & Spanish)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and working in warehouse and production environments for extended periods
  • Ability to read, write, and follow detailed instructions and procedures
  • Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States, * Quality Assurance: 3 years (Required)
  • QA in Food Industry: 3 years (Required)
