In this exciting interim role you get to take full ownership of a live payroll implementation project in Portugal, from the very first configuration all the way through to a successful go-live. You work closely with an international team, bring structure and confidence to the project and make sure everything lands on time and without issues. Your role as Payroll Implementation Manager As the Portuguese Payroll Implementation Specialist you are the go-to person for everything related to the payroll implementation in Portugal. You take ownership of the full process, from configuration and testing all the way to go-live, and make sure every step is done correctly and in line with Portuguese legislation. You work closely with local and international stakeholders, communicate clearly and keep the project moving forward at all times. You are practical, proactive and always focused on finding the right solution. This is a role for someone who loves to take charge and deliver results. Your responsibilities In this role, your work includes:

  • Leading and supporting the full payroll implementation for Portugal from configuration to go-live
  • Setting up and configuring Primavera Payroll or other Portuguese payroll software
  • Making sure all processes follow Portuguese payroll legislation and regulations
  • Running tests and checks to make sure the setup is correct and compliant
  • Being the main contact for local and international stakeholders throughout the project
  • Spotting and solving problems quickly to keep the project on track
  • Making sure everything is properly documented at every stage of the project
  • Delivering the project on time and at the right quality before February/March 2027

Requirements

You are a strong and experienced professional with:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Portuguese payroll and/or implementation projects
  • Strong hands-on experience with Primavera Payroll, other Portuguese payroll software will also be considered
  • Deep knowledge of Portuguese payroll processes, legislation and compliance requirements
  • Solid experience with payroll configuration, testing and implementation activities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in Portuguese and good understanding of English
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with an international project team
  • A practical, proactive and solution-focused approach to your work
