Job description

  • Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to users across the business.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID and Exchange.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, mail and group policies within a hybrid Microsoft environment.
  • Support physical and virtual servers, storage, networking and cloud services.
  • Work with technologies including Hyper-V, QNAP, NAKIVO and Wasabi.
  • Support VOIP telephony through 3CX and mobile devices through Knox MDM.
  • Maintain printers, copiers, workstations and other IT assets.
  • Carry out system updates, patching, backups, upgrades and deployments.
  • Monitor network and system security, including firewalls, antivirus and endpoint protection.
  • Respond to security alerts and investigate incidents.
  • Maintain IT asset inventories and technical documentation.
  • Get involved in the investigation, design, trial and implementation of new technologies that can improve efficiency and performance.

Requirements

  • At least 24 months of IT experience working with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2022 and Microsoft 365 Cloud environments; or relevant recognised IT certifications.
  • Comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and working to deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Organised, flexible and self-motivated.
  • Confidence to use their own judgement and expertise when solving problems.
  • A desire to continue developing troubleshooting skills while working across a broad range of technologies.
