Network Technicians

• Perform physical rack and stack installation of servers, switches, and other network hardware.
• Conduct Passive Optical Network (PON) testing to ensure network integrity and signal quality.
• Install, route, and manage fiber optic and copper cabling within server racks and distribution points.
• Use specialized network analyzers and testing tools to troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
• Ensure all networking equipment is properly labeled and documented according to project specifications.
• Assist with the deployment and integration of new hardware into existing data center infrastructure.
• Execute routine maintenance and inspections on network components to prevent downtime.
• Maintain clean and organized cable routing using trays and management systems to prevent interference.
• Work alongside technical teams to ensure seamless execution of network upgrades and expansions.

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Network Technicians in Montgomery, AL. The Network Technician is responsible for the physical installation and performance testing of network infrastructure in a data center environment. The ideal candidate possesses specialized experience in rack and stack operations for servers and switches, alongside technical proficiency in Passive Optical Network (PON) testing. Job Type: Contract, * Proven experience performing rack and stack operations for servers and switches.

• Direct experience and technical proficiency with PON (Passive Optical Network) testing procedures.
• Strong understanding of data center network architecture and hardware components.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred for technical coordination.
• Familiarity with interpreting network diagrams and technical layout documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, contract-based production environment.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills related to network connectivity and hardware failures.
• Prior experience working in a hyperscale or large-scale data center environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
• Capability to work at heights and utilize ladders or elevated work platforms safely.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and maneuver effectively within narrow server aisles.
• Must be able to distinguish color-coded fiber optic and copper cables.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods during hardware installation.
• Manual dexterity required for handling small components and specialized hand tools.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $26 to $31 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location.
