  • Act as the voice of the customer, engaging with stakeholders to represent user needs, presenting solutions, and ensuring requirements are met.
  • Define and establish the target operating model, advocating behavioural changes and embedding new ways of working.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the new Chart of Accounts (CoA), engaging stakeholders, presenting worked examples, and creating supporting documentation.
  • Manage project infrastructure, logistics, and high-quality documentation, ensuring alignment with delivery milestones and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors and provide regular updates and recommendations to the Project Board.
  • Develop and execute engagement strategies, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure successful integration of project outcomes into business-as-usual operations.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CCAB) with excellent knowledge of UK financial reporting standards (FRSs) and the Higher Education SORP.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, complex transformation projects within finance or systems environments.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and tools like Microsoft Project.
  • Experience implementing organisational change, promoting innovation, and overcoming resistance to new ways of working.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and service management methods is desirable.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.

What We Offer
