The Development Manager is a key member of our fundraising team working to ensure the long-term sustainability of the A Kid Again chapter. This full-time position reports to the chapter Executive Director and is responsible for securing fundraising support through special events as well as corporate and individual donor solicitations. In addition, this position will focus on promoting the mission, increase community engagement, and establish meaningful relationships with volunteers and donors., A Kid Again fosters hope, happiness, and healing for kids with life-threatening conditions and their families. We do this through our Adventures - cost-free, care-free visits to amusement parks, sporting events, museums, holiday parties, and much more. We are condition agnostic - any child, birth to age 20, with a life-threatening condition can enroll for free with A Kid Again. And we serve their whole family including their parents and siblings, so that they can all take a time out from illness., * Build and cultivate relationships with individuals and companies to align their philanthropic priorities with the chapter’s programmatic and fundraising objectives.

Manage an active donor portfolio stewarding donor relationships, and accurately tracking activity in the organization’s donor database.

Plan and manage the chapter’s fundraising events by developing and supporting event committees, securing sponsorships and in-kind donations, acquiring auction items when appropriate, and coordinating event logistics.

Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for fundraising committees and day-of-event support, while building and maintaining strong volunteer relationships.

Partner with companies, individuals, and organizations conducting third-party fundraising events in support of the chapter. Serve as the primary liaison to ensure a smooth and positive experience and provide timely and appropriate recognition for their support.

Support chapter programs as a donor engagement opportunity by inviting donors and prospects to experience the mission in action; this role requires availability for evening and weekend activities.

Perform other duties and assignments as needed to support the development goals and overall mission of the chapter.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (nonprofit preferred).
- 2-3 years of non-profit fundraising experience with success in:
- Prospecting, cultivating and stewarding relationships
- Launching and running fundraising eventsDeveloping and engaging committees
NECESSARY SKILLS
- Requires good communication, relationship building and organizational skills.Strong computer skills, particularly with experience working in Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud (or other donor database) and Microsoft Office. Adobe and/or Canva experience a plus.
