Job description

Under the supervision of the Director of Planning & Analysis, the Database Specialist plays a key role in defining, optimizing, and documenting operational processes. This position involves acquiring and analyzing competitive data, conducting lead analysis, and managing various analytic projects on both a scheduled and ad hoc basis, along with ongoing system management and administration. The Casino Analyst is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency, improving guest experiences, and maximizing revenue across all departments. This role requires analyzing data from multiple sources, providing actionable insights, and collaborating with teams in gaming, marketing, finance, and operations to support strategic decision-making., * Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to gaming performance, customer behavior, marketing campaigns, and operational efficiencies.

  • Develop and maintain detailed reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments, presenting findings clearly and actionably.
  • Develop, test, refine, implement, and monitor segmentation strategies with a focus on ROI based on database response analysis.
  • Conduct direct analytics, including response modeling, customer profiling, needs analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Use data and analytics to formulate actionable strategic recommendations to maximize campaign success.
  • Collect and analyze data on consumer demographics, preferences, and needs to identify factors affecting product demand.
  • Utilize data analytics to understand customer preferences and behaviors, aiding in the development of targeted strategies and enhancing guest experiences.
  • Work with teams in gaming, hospitality, marketing, finance, and other departments to identify data needs and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
  • Optimize processes through data-driven recommendations and implement best practices.
  • Analyze data related to regulatory requirements and operational risks, ensuring adherence to gaming laws and regulations.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor performance to provide insights for strategic planning.
  • Prepare professional presentations to communicate analyzed information effectively.
  • Conduct special projects and analyses as requested by management to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Statistical analysis tools?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Previous experience in a casino industry.

  • A minimum of3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the gaming or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau, R, or Python) and experience with casino management systems.
  • Proficiency in a PC environment, including MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions from data and solve problems.
  • Proficient in investigating, analyzing, and communicating results clearly.
  • Must be able to complete work accurately, in a timely manner, and with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present statistical data in a relevant and actionable way.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities and work independently from conception to completion.
  • Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment and build relationships across department.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and business needs.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, or Statistics, or a Certified Business Analyst or a relevant certification, is preferred.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery.
  • Works in a climate controlled environment, but may be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and exposure to general public.
  • The person in this role frequently communicates with others that may have questions, they must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must
