Job description

The CSS - End User Support role, titled Software Test Analyst 5, focuses on testing Salesforce applications and utilizing Azure DevOps to design, maintain, and execute test cases. The position supports the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team within the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. This role requires expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud, agile methodologies, and test automation, ensuring high-quality software delivery through comprehensive testing and collaboration with development teams. Responsibilities:

  • Work in an agile environment and apply agile methodologies.
  • Participate in vendor requirement sessions and understand customer needs.
  • Write and maintain Test Plans and Test Suites in Azure DevOps.
  • Define test scripts based on project requirements and enhancements.
  • Interpret requirements and user stories to write detailed test cases.
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and development teams to ensure quality.
  • Understand technical environments and application capabilities/limitations.
  • Write positive and native test cases aligned with Salesforce application needs.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to automation frameworks.
  • Test Salesforce Service Cloud including web services, REST API, SOAP API, and Bulk API using tools like SoapUI and Postman.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and plans.
  • Work with test engineers to implement and troubleshoot automation scripts in a Continuous Integration environment.
  • Ensure solutions comply with security guidelines and standards.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Devise training plans for smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations.
  • Transfer knowledge effectively and adapt to dynamic conditions and deadlines.
  • Participate in all phases of full Salesforce lifecycle implementations.
  • Analyze impacts of new solutions and perform regression testing.
  • Document and manage defects and test results in Azure DevOps.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years Salesforce QA/testing experience.
  • At least 4 years experience with Salesforce Service Cloud.
  • At least 4 years experience using Azure DevOps Test Suite.
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce objects including flows, AppExchange packages, Lightning, and Apex.
  • Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule and onsite presence as required.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience with Nice CXone or other CCaaS testing (4 years preferred).
  • SQL knowledge (1 year preferred).
  • Experience with Selenium or other test automation tools (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in government or public health processes and guidelines, preferably within the State of Michigan.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and automation testing tools.

Special Considerations:

  • Candidate must reside within 90 miles of Lansing, Michigan.
  • Hybrid work schedule with mandatory onsite presence two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) from day one.
  • No remote-only option available.
  • Must provide valid Right to Represent and comply with bid submission requirements.
  • Clear communication and ability to work under deadlines in dynamic conditions required.

Benefits & conditions

Scheduling:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Hybrid schedule requiring onsite work two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
  • Contract duration: 1 year starting October 5, 2026, with possible extension.
  • Interview process includes virtual first round and in-person second round in Lansing.
