Job description
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect with strong expertise in the Nonprofit Cloud ecosystem to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Salesforce solutions for nonprofit organizations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Salesforce architecture, integration strategies, data migration, and nonprofit business processes including fundraising, donor management, grants management, volunteer engagement, and program delivery.
This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, administrators, developers, and implementation teams to deliver scalable and secure Salesforce solutions., * Architect and design enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions utilizing:
- Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud
- Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
- Experience Cloud
- Service Cloud
- Marketing Cloud (preferred)
Lead end-to-end Salesforce architecture, including:
- Data model design
- Security architecture
- Integration architecture
- Application scalability and performance optimization
Work closely with nonprofit stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Design integrations between Salesforce and third-party platforms including:
- Fundraising platforms
- ERP/Finance systems
- Marketing automation tools
- Data warehouses
Provide technical leadership to development teams and conduct architecture reviews.
Define Salesforce development best practices, governance standards, and release processes.
Lead data migration, cleansing, and transformation strategies.
Support solution deployment, testing, and post-production enhancements.
Create architecture documentation, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and nonprofit regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Salesforce platform experience.
- 5+ years of Salesforce Technical Architect experience.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and/or NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack).

Experience designing complex Salesforce integrations using:
- REST APIs
- SOAP APIs
- MuleSoft
- Middleware platforms
Hands-on experience with:
- Apex
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Visualforce
- Salesforce Flows
- Platform Events
Strong understanding of:
- Salesforce Security Model
- Sharing Rules
- Profiles
- Permission Sets
- Role Hierarchies
Experience with large-scale data migration and master data management initiatives.
Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills., * Experience working directly with nonprofit organizations, foundations, educational institutions, or charitable entities.
- Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud certification.
- Salesforce Application Architect Certification.
- Salesforce System Architect Certification.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) highly preferred.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Knowledge of fundraising, donor engagement, grants management, and volunteer management processes., * Salesforce Technical Architecture
