Graphics Teacher New

A highly regarded sixth form college in Southampton is seeking a Graphics & Digital Media Teacher to join their creative faculty on a part-time basis as soon as possible.

This long-term opportunity will involve teaching A-Level and Level 3 Digital Media/Graphics-related courses for approximately 18 hours per week. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons that develop their creative, digital and visual communication skills while preparing them for further study and careers within the creative industries.

The role is expected to continue until at least December, with the possibility of being extended beyond this point.

• Teaching A-Level and Level 3 Graphics/Digital Media courses
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learners
• Supporting students in developing skills in digital design, media production and creative communication
• Teaching elements such as media analysis, digital content creation, advertising, visual design and project-based coursework
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
• Preparing students for examinations and coursework deadlines

• Contributing to departmental planning and student success

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant post-16 teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Digital Media, Graphics, Media Studies or related creative subjects
• Strong knowledge of creative industry practices and digital technologies
• Experience delivering Level 3 or A-Level qualifications is desirable
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for developing students’ creative abilities and career aspirations
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
