This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to join a network-focused technical support team, supporting enterprise networking environments rather than general IT., * Provide technical support across enterprise network environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents.
- Work across routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required.
- Maintain accurate ticket updates and technical documentation.
- Work as part of a shift-based team to ensure continuous support coverage.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills.
Technical Environment
- Cisco networking (routing and switching).
- Fortinet / FortiGate firewalls.
- Enterprise network environments.
Requirements
The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with Cisco networking and Fortinet security technologies while working within a structured shift pattern that provides a strong work-life balance and ongoing technical development.
The organisation is looking for someone with a genuine passion for networking and a strong desire to build a long-term career in routing, switching, and network security. A proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn are highly valued, with structured training, certifications, and clear career progression available for those looking to continuously develop their technical expertise., * BSc in Computer Networks, Cyber Security, or a related field, or CCNA certification.
- Early-career or graduate-level candidates preferred.
- Not suitable for current students.
- Strong interest in network engineering rather than cloud-focused roles.
- Committed to building a long-term career in networking.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning and self-development.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to take ownership.
- Must demonstrate progression, curiosity, and a strong drive to develop, rather than remaining stagnant in the same role.
- Able to clearly articulate interest and motivation during the interview process.
Benefits & conditions
- Harrogate-based (2 days per week onsite)
- Shift rotation:
- 2 days (7am - 7pm)
- 2 nights (7pm - 7am)
- 4 days off
