Job description

This leader will guide the data science function in a healthcare environment, shaping how advanced analytics and AI/ML are applied to improve operational and clinical outcomes. The role will partner closely with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions while ensuring models remain production-ready and measurable over time. This position also carries responsibility for setting technical direction, elevating team capability, and building strong processes that support effective execution., * Lead AI/ML model development and validation for a range of applications

  • Stay current on AI advancements and apply them thoughtfully in healthcare
  • Promote rapid prototyping to evaluate technical feasibility and model performance
  • Ensure models are operationally viable while maintaining technical soundness
  • Follow enterprise frameworks for ongoing model performance monitoring
  • Define the technical vision and roadmap for the data science team
  • Develop a high-performing data science team that promotes collaboration

Requirements

  • 8+ years of data science experience in production environments
  • Deep technical expertise in AI/ML approaches with product-quality code proficiency
  • 5+ years of management experience, with a focus on talent development and cross-functional leadership
  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model versioning and monitoring
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively
  • Leadership experience in establishing technical standards and team processes
