Data Engineer

We are looking to register interest in Data Engineer opportunities to support businesses building and maintaining robust data infrastructure that powers critical analytics and decision-making., * Designing and building data pipelines to ingest, transform and load data from multiple sources

• Implementing data quality checks and monitoring to ensure reliability and accuracy of datasets
• Managing data infrastructure on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Deploying and maintaining containerised services using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather data requirements and align pipeline design with business needs
• Troubleshooting performance issues in distributed data systems and optimising query and pipeline execution
• Supporting CI/CD practices and automation to improve deployment and release cycles
• Documenting data architecture, pipelines and processes for team knowledge sharing, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

• Demonstrable experience designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes
• Proficiency in SQL and experience querying relational databases
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and associated data services
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of data quality principles and experience implementing quality checks
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Master’s degree
• Google Cloud Data Engineer certification
• Experience with .NET, Python or Java in data engineering contexts
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and APIs
• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform)
• Experience with SAP data ecosystems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP RISE)
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Power BI)
