Job description

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Engineer opportunities within a collaborative technical environment. Roles of this type may involve designing, building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure that enable organisations to extract, process and analyse data at scale. The work could span across cloud platforms, distributed systems and modern data architectures, with scope to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, reliable data solutions., * Designing and implementing data pipelines to ingest, transform and deliver data efficiently

  • Building and maintaining data infrastructure across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP
  • Contributing to data quality analysis and ensuring pipeline alignment with business requirements
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Working with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Supporting the deployment and monitoring of data systems using CI/CD practices
  • Troubleshooting data-related issues and optimising pipeline performance
  • Contributing to the documentation and knowledge sharing across the data engineering team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Demonstrable experience with data pipeline development and data infrastructure engineering
  • Proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java or similar
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Working knowledge of containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of data quality principles and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice-to-have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Google Cloud Data Engineer certification
  • Experience with SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC or RISE)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures
  • Knowledge of BPMN or UML for process modelling
