Job description

As a Senior Developer, you will help shape the future of digital policing by designing, building and improving innovative low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 technologies. Working closely with users, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, you will create secure, scalable and user-centred applications, automations and digital services that improve operational effectiveness and user experience. This is an exciting opportunity to drive digital transformation through automation, AI-enabled capabilities and modern ways of working, delivering meaningful outcomes for Wiltshire Police and the communities we serve.

What you will be doing

Design, develop and enhance secure, scalable and user-centred solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 technologies. Build applications, automations, integrations and digital services that improve user experience, operational efficiency and organisational outcomes. Work with Service Owners, Business Analysts, Architects and users to translate business needs into effective digital solutions. Develop Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Dataverse solutions, Power BI reporting and AI-enabled capabilities including Microsoft Copilot technologies. Apply secure-by-design principles, governance standards and engineering best practices throughout the solution lifecycle. Support the continuous improvement of digital services through automation, integration, innovation and data-driven insights. Promote the reuse of applications, components and automation patterns to accelerate delivery and reduce complexity. Contribute to the growth of Power Platform and DDaT communities by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and championing modern development practices, Tattoos - you will also be requested to provide photos and describe of any visible tattoos you have /*generated inline style */

Requirements

Experience designing, developing and supporting low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. Experience working with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, automation and integration technologies to deliver business outcomes. A strong understanding of user-centred design, modern development practices and delivering secure, scalable digital solutions. Experience applying governance, security, privacy and compliance principles within Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environments. A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and the use of automation and AI-enabled technologies to transform services. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and engage with a range of stakeholders. ITIL 4 Foundation certification. Microsoft Power Platform certification (such as PL-900, PL-100, PL-200 or equivalent) and a commitment to continuous professional development.
