Platform Engineer

You would be working in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England on contract (£500-700 per day), contributing to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and distributed systems that teams depend on. The work could involve collaboration across engineering disciplines, with scope to influence how applications are built, tested and released., * Designing and building scalable cloud platforms on Azure, AWS or GCP

• Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery
• Managing containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Developing infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• Supporting microservices architectures and distributed systems
• Collaborating with development teams to understand platform needs and iterate on solutions
• Maintaining system reliability, performance and security across cloud infrastructure
• Contributing to documentation and best practices for platform usage

• Proven experience designing and operating cloud platforms on Azure, AWS or GCP
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline implementation
• Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Solid scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python or similar languages
• Understanding of microservices, APIs and distributed systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Experience with SAP cloud environments or SAP integration
• Knowledge of data pipeline architecture and quality frameworks
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows system administration
• Experience with monitoring, logging and observability tools
• Understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments
