Job description
Platform Engineers are increasingly central to how organizations modernize their infrastructure and deliver at pace. This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Platform Engineer roles where you could take ownership of designing, building and maintaining scalable cloud platforms that enable development teams to move faster., Roles of this type typically sit within infrastructure or cloud teams where the focus is on creating robust, self-service platforms that abstract complexity and accelerate deployment. You would be working in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England on contract (£500-700 per day), contributing to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and distributed systems that teams depend on. The work could involve collaboration across engineering disciplines, with scope to influence how applications are built, tested and released., * Designing and building scalable cloud platforms on Azure, AWS or GCP
- Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery
- Managing containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Developing infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Supporting microservices architectures and distributed systems
- Collaborating with development teams to understand platform needs and iterate on solutions
- Maintaining system reliability, performance and security across cloud infrastructure
- Contributing to documentation and best practices for platform usage
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and operating cloud platforms on Azure, AWS or GCP
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline implementation
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Solid scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python or similar languages
- Understanding of microservices, APIs and distributed systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Experience with SAP cloud environments or SAP integration
- Knowledge of data pipeline architecture and quality frameworks
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows system administration
- Experience with monitoring, logging and observability tools
- Understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments
