SAP Application Developer

This registration invites experienced SAP Application Developers to join future opportunities within enterprise systems development. Roles of this type typically sit within organisations modernising their SAP landscapes-migrating to S/4HANA, building microservices-based integrations, or strengthening their API-first architecture. You could be supporting the design and delivery of solutions that connect SAP systems to broader technology ecosystems, working with contemporary development practices, cloud platforms and distributed architectures., * Building and supporting APIs and microservices to integrate SAP systems with cloud and on-premise platforms

• Contributing to SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, or system enhancements
• Developing CI/CD pipelines and supporting automation frameworks for SAP deployments
• Writing and optimising SQL queries and data pipelines to ensure data quality and system performance
• Collaborating across cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs
• Documenting code, architecture decisions and technical specifications using standards such as UML and BPMN
• Supporting troubleshooting and performance tuning of SAP systems and integrations, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Proven experience in SAP application development (ABAP, Java, .NET, or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or SAP RISE platforms
• Hands-on experience with APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation
• Proficiency in SQL and database design
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms
• Understanding of distributed systems, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• Authorisation to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• SAP Certified Professional qualification in SAP Application Development
• Experience with Spring Boot, .NET / ASP.NET, React or Python
• Knowledge of BPMN, data pipelines and data quality frameworks
• Familiarity with Linux and Bash scripting
• Exposure to ISO 9001 or quality management standards
