Job description

Roles of this type may sit within delivery teams working on SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades and integrations. The work could involve collaborating with architects, quality teams and business analysts to develop and maintain SAP applications, with scope to contribute to modern, cloud-native delivery approaches. You could be based in Manchester, working on projects that span multiple business domains and technical platforms., * Developing and maintaining SAP applications across S/4HANA and ECC environments

  • Supporting API and microservices design and implementation for SAP integrations
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Collaborating with architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Writing clean, maintainable code in languages such as .NET, ASP.NET, Java or Python
  • Participating in code reviews and quality assurance processes
  • Supporting the integration of SAP systems with external platforms and data sources
  • Documenting technical design and implementation approaches

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Application Development
  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC environments
  • Proficiency in at least one of: .NET, ASP.NET, Java or Python
  • Experience with APIs and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment practices
  • Understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • SAP Certified Professional or equivalent relevant certification

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker or containerisation
  • Familiarity with BPMN or UML modelling
  • Experience with data pipeline design or Power BI
  • Background in Linux or Windows system administration
