Job description
We are looking for a Business Development Manager who knows how to open doors, build relationships, and win corporate accounts.
This is not a fundraising position. This is a true business development role.
Your mission will be to develop relationships with companies throughout Las Vegas and Southern Nevada and turn those relationships into long-term electronics and IT asset disposition partnerships.
What You’ll Do
You will be responsible for growing the Blind Center of Nevada’s Electronics business by identifying, pursuing, and winning new corporate accounts.
You will:
- Prospect and develop new business with corporations, hotels and casinos, healthcare organizations, technology companies, government contractors, professional services firms, and other organizations with ongoing technology replacement needs
- Build relationships with IT executives, technology managers, procurement professionals, sustainability leaders, facilities teams, and other key decision makers
- Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified business opportunities
- Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and in-person meetings
- Meet with prospective clients to understand their IT asset disposition, electronics recycling, data security, and equipment disposition needs
- Develop proposals and solutions that turn prospects into long-term customers
- Expand existing corporate relationships and identify additional opportunities within current accounts
- Represent the Blind Center of Nevada at business, technology, sustainability, and community events
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, opportunities, follow-up, and sales forecasts
- Work closely with our Electronics operations team to ensure we deliver an outstanding experience for every corporate partner
Requirements
You are a relationship builder and a hunter.
You enjoy finding opportunities that do not already exist, getting meetings with decision makers, and turning conversations into business.
You should have:
- 3+ years of successful B2B sales or business development experience
- A demonstrated ability to prospect and develop new accounts
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Confidence communicating with executives and business decision makers
- The discipline to manage a sales pipeline and consistently follow up
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of results
- Strong networking skills and a willingness to be active in the Las Vegas business community
Experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, technology, managed services, IT sales, hospitality, gaming, or corporate procurement is helpful but not required.
We are more interested in someone who knows how to develop business than someone who simply knows electronics.
