Job description

We’re seeking Python Developers for contract roles based in Manchester. These positions could see you working on projects that span microservices architecture, data pipelines, and cloud-based solutions. You would collaborate with experienced engineering teams to deliver robust, well-tested code in fast-paced environments where your contributions make a direct impact on project success., * Designing and implementing Python solutions using modern frameworks and best practices

  • Developing microservices and APIs that integrate with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Writing clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage and adherence to CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing application performance in distributed systems
  • Contributing to code reviews and knowledge sharing within development teams
  • Working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes where applicable

Requirements

Must-have

  • Proven professional experience developing in Python (3+ years)
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles
  • Experience building or consuming APIs and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • PCAP - Certified Associate in Python or PCPP - Certified Professional in Python
  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
  • Familiarity with data pipeline development and data quality practices
  • Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, React or Java ecosystems
  • Knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting
