Job description

We’re seeking Python Developers for contract roles based in Manchester. These positions could see you working on projects that span microservices architecture, data pipelines, and cloud-based solutions. You would collaborate with experienced engineering teams to deliver robust, well-tested code in fast-paced environments where your contributions make a direct impact on project success., * Designing and implementing Python solutions using modern frameworks and best practices

Developing microservices and APIs that integrate with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
Writing clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage and adherence to CI/CD pipelines
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
Troubleshooting and optimizing application performance in distributed systems
Contributing to code reviews and knowledge sharing within development teams
Working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes where applicable

Requirements

Must-have

Proven professional experience developing in Python (3+ years)
Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles
Experience building or consuming APIs and microservices architecture
Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

PCAP - Certified Associate in Python or PCPP - Certified Professional in Python
AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
Familiarity with data pipeline development and data quality practices
Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, React or Java ecosystems
Knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting
