Job description

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to help strengthen Outback Steakhouse’s brand relevance and increase engagement across social platforms. This role turns social conversations into insights, identifies cultural and consumer trends, and helps the brand show up in timely, authentic ways. The Social Media Specialist will monitor social platforms, engage with creators and fans, amplify brand mentions, and recommend opportunities that support brand strategy and business goals. The ideal candidate is curious, ahead of cultural trends, comfortable with social listening, and able to translate insights into clear recommendations., The Social Media Specialist will report to the Brand Marketing Manager and will collaborate on campaigns and all aspects of social media planning, execution and post-performance analysis. This is a hybrid position requiring at minimum in office attendance of 3 days a week in our Tampa based offices., Social Listening & Insights

  • Monitor social conversations to identify emerging trends, cultural moments, consumer conversations, competitive activity and brand sentiment.
  • Translate social listening insights into actionable recommendations that impact support driving brand relevance, and business results.
  • Track and share competitive activity and industry trends that may influence Outback’s social strategy, content planning or guest engagement opportunities.
  • Surface recurring guest feedback and partner with cross-functional teams to influence business decisions.
  • Lead timely content opportunities to join trending conversations to drive relevancy for Outback

Proactive Community Engagement

  • Engage with creators, fans, and online communities to drive two-way conversations and increase positive brand visibility
  • Identify and respond to organic brand mentions, user-generated content, and trending conversations in a timely and authentic tone
  • Escalate guest concerns and collaborate with Guest Relations when necessary.
  • Partner with Social and PR agencies to identify real-time engagement opportunities that amplify campaigns and strengthen Outback’s presence in culture.

Content Planning/Execution

  • Partner with social media agency to develop content plans that align with the marketing calendar, campaign priorities and content pillars
  • Identify and incorporate emerging platform features, trends, and best practices.
  • Support Brand Manager and Social Media Agency in planning and executing content creation, shoots and posting
  • Content performance measurement and reporting that will inform future content planning
  • Support Brand Manager on Influencer activations as needed

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant social media marketing experience with hands on knowledge of social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Reddit.

Skills

  • Proficient in relevant social channels, including Meta, X, TikTok and Reddit
  • Experience with Social Media Management tools to monitor conversations, manage engagement, and support reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative and able to work with a cross-functional team.
  • Organized and able to handle multiple projects and timelines to successful completion.
  • Analytical thinker who can gather insights, identify patterns, and develop clear recommendations
  • Ability to create and deliver clear presentations that communicate insights, recommendations and results.
