Job description

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Infrastructure Specialist 2 within the Office of Information Technology, headquartered in Portage County. The address is 993 Goodyear Park Blvd. Mogadore, OH.

What you will do…

  • Installs, configures, upgrades, administers & maintains software independently
  • Designs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains physical networking infrastructure
  • Diagnoses, analyzes & resolves issues for customer(s) across assigned multiple technology domains
  • Supports customers over the phone, remote desktop connection & in person
  • Interfaces with other platforms from hardware &/or software perspective
  • Travels to field offices
  • The Primary Technology for this position is Endpoint Customer Support
  • Starting hourly pay of $38.01/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7.5 years of service, with an end salary of $55.80/hr.
  • There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the OCSEA pay range schedule & longevity rates OCSEA Employees Department of Administrative Services.

Requirements

48 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Endpoint Customer Support).

  • Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems AND 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Endpoint Customer Support).

  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems AND 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Endpoint Customer Support).

  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above. Note: The official position description on file with the designated agency is to reflect the required, primary technology directly relating to the duties of the position. Only those applicants possessing the experience in the required, primary technology listed in the position description & job posting are to be considered for any vacancies posted.
